KT Smail is a Scotch illustrator and these are some of her works about "magical girls with broken hearts, darling creatures, faraway lovers and pretty dresses" as she wrote it on her webpage. Some English sadness on collages or as alternative embodiments of the biggest fashion brands.

today's inspiration: Fab Ciraolo

Let me introduce a nice Spanish illustrator, Fabian Ciraolo. His special individual illustrations are an ornate vintage world with a lot of floral motifs, pastel color scheme, used retro-glam and today's indie symbols. In his new pictures Fab reinterprets some last century celebs in this modern glamour way. Frida Kahlo in Daft Punk t-shirt, Che Guevara in hipster trousers, Marilyn Monroe with tattoos. Besides his other works are notable as well. Even though he uses the now trendy patterns like cats, foxes, floral and universe inspired backgrounds, there is something impressive in his works. 

today's inspiration: lookbook illustrated by hands

A really nice and cheap variation on lookbooks: Whitney Pozgay's (maybe some Hungarian in her ascendants?!) brand, WHIT brought something new and playful into our technically bounded years. This '12 spring lookbook with the Aztec-inspired illustrations by Mary Matson (also worth a look!) makes me feel so relieved after those fully photoshopped and artificial shots that come out every day. Special congrats for the models reacting to the drawn environment. Have fun :)

today's inspiration: Dominic's sketches

I wrote about Dominic Wilcox in a previous entry, i showed you his crazy and fun realized ideas. Now I cheked his online sketchbook and I found a lot of new invetions what i have to show to you, because they are much more than funny : insulting ball, portable bottom seat, climbing wall kitchen, funny punishment ideas - all of them is perfect and should be put into practice.
